Receta Hungarian Walnut Torte

Ingredientes
- 12 Tbsp. Grnd nuts, (rounded)
- 12 Tbsp. Sugar
- 12 Tbsp. Flour, (rounded)
- 12 x Egg yolks, (reserve whites)
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 12 x Egg whites, stiffly beaten but not dry
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 lb Sweet butter, (don't substitute)
- 1 lb 10X sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Sifted cocoa, (up to 6)
- 1 tsp Vanilla or possibly rum
Direcciones
- Beat egg yolks till thick and lemon colored. Add in sugar, 2 Tablespoons at a time, beating a few min after each addition. Add in vanilla. Sift flour with baking pwdr. Sprinkle flour into egg yolk mix and blend in well. Beat whites stiff but not dry, then fold into batter. Lastly, mix in grnd nuts. Grease and flour two (9x2") pans. Bake at 325 for 35-45 min.
- Butter Icing for Hungarian Walnut Torte: Cream butter thoroughly. Add in sugar and cream well. Add in cocoa and cream till blended. Add in flavoring.
