Receta Italian Meatballs with Healthy Solutions Spice Blends

Ingredientes

  • 3/4 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 lb ground pork
  • 3/4 lb ground bison
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet Italian Spice Blends Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup Tomato-Basil Spaghetti Sauce
  • from a 28 oz jar, set jar aside
  • (Use your favorite brand or make your own)
  • 1/4 cup sweet red wine
  • 6 T olive oil, divided
  • 1-12 oz pkg Vino Rosso Linguine or linguine of your choice
  • Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl using a large spoon or your hands:)
  • Shape meat mixture into meatballs, 1 to 2 inches in size
  • Heat 3 T olive oil in a large skillet
  • Brown meatballs on all sides
  • Do not crowd skillet
  • Remove and drain
  • Continue until all meatballs are browned and drained
  • Wipe out skillet
  • Heat remaining 3 T olive oil in same skillet over low heat
  • Return meatballs back to the skillet
  • Add remaining spaghetti sauce to skillet; Cover
  • Heat on medium to medium low heat
  • Until hot and bubbly
  • Meanwhile make linguine
  • Bring 4 quarts water to a boil
  • Add pasta, stir and cook 2-1/2 to 4 minutes
  • Taste test for desired al dente
  • Strain thoroughly
  • To serve :
  • Place linguine on serving plate
  • Top with meatballs and sauce
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
  • Serve and Enjoy~
  • Pizza Burgers:
  • Follow recipe above but instead of making meatballs
  • Form meat mixture into patties
  • Grill burgers until no longer pink inside
  • Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on burgers
  • Cover and heat until cheese is melted
  • Place grilled Italian burgers on toasted buttered buns
  • Top burgers with a small amount of warmed spaghetti sauce.

  • Follow recipe above
  • When meatballs and sauce are hot and bubbly
  • Preheat broiler
  • With a serrated knife, cut a thin slice from the top of 4-6 Italian rolls
  • Hollow out the rolls and discard insides
  • Spoon the meatballs and sauce into the rolls
  • Sprinkle each sub with shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese
  • Broil the sandwiches 4 inches from the heat for 1 minute or until the cheese melts
