Receta Kraut Balls

Ingredientes
- 8 ounce crumbled breakfast sausage
- 1/4 c. onion, minced fine
- 1 (14 ounce) pkg. sauerkraut, liquid removed well, squeezed between paper towels & snipped
- 2 T dry bread crumbs
- 1 (3 ounce) pkg. cream cheese
- 2 T parsley, minced
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 3 T lowfat milk
- 1 1/4 c. bread crumbs
Direcciones
- In frying pan, cook sausage and onions till brown. Drain oil from frying pan and add in kraut, 2 tbsp bread crumbs, cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic salt and pepper.Shape into small balls. Beat egg and lowfat milk together. Coat already formed balls with flour, dip into lowfat milk and egg mix, then roll into bread crumbs.
- Deep fry kraut balls at 400 degrees till golden. Serve immediately or possibly freeze on cookie sheet. Thaw at room temperature. Reheat oven to 375 degrees for 15 to 20 min. Makes 3 dozen.
