Receta Lemon, Orange Poppy Seed Cake
A variation of mine of the poppy seed cake. Try it. You will like it
Ingredientes
- 3 - 3 1/2 C. flour
- 2 C.sugar.
- 1 tsp.salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 T. lemon flavor
- 2 T. concentrated orange juice
- 3 oz. yogurt( flavor with lemon)
- 1 C. oil
- 1 13 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 lg. can poppy seed filling
Direcciones
- 1. Grease & flour a 10 " tube pan
- 2. In mixing bowl, blend together flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
- 3. Add eggs, vanilla, yogurt, milk, lemon flavor, orange juice and oil. Mix until smooth.
- 4. Fold in poppy seeds and make sure it is well mixed.
- 5. Pour into a greased/floured 10 " tube pan.
- 6. Bake at 350 degrees for an hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
- 7. Let cool for about 20 minutes: invert cake and place on cake dish.
- 8. Cake should be cold when served. Best if frozen for later user.
