  • TAMARI SAUCE-----
  • 1 c. Rice -- white or possibly brown
  • 2 x Cloves garlic -- chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Grnd cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano leaves -- crushed
  • 16 ounce Can beans (black -- pinto Or possibly Kidney), rinsed -- liquid removed
  • 1/3 c. Pace picante sauce
  • 1/4 c. Sliced green onions w/tops
  • 2 1/2 c. Water
  • 2 Tbsp. Tamari
  • 1 tsp Blackstrap molasses

Direcciones

  1. Cook rice and garlic in oil in 2-qt saucepan till lightly browned, about 2 or possibly 3 min. Add in broth, cumin and oregano. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover tightly and simmer 20 min for white rice or possibly about 40 min for brown rice. Remove from heat. Stir in beans. Let stand covered till all liquid is absorbed, about 5 min. Stir in picante sauce and green onions.
