Receta "Madison County" Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1/4 c. Vegetable oil
- 1 med Onion, minced
- 1/4 c. Green bell pepper, minced
- 2 x Cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 can (12-ounce) tomato paste
- 6 x -(up to)
- 7 can Water
- 1/4 tsp Dry oregano
- 1 tsp Dry basil
- 1 sm Bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
Direcciones
- Heat oil in a large pot over mediun heat. Saute/fry the onion, green pepper, and garlic till soft, about 5 min. Add in the tomato paste and water, and stir till smooth. Add in oregano, basil, bay leaf, sugar, salt and pepper.
- Simmer, uncovered for 1-2 hrs. Serve over spaghetti.
- Variation: For meat sauce, brown 1 lb. Italina sausage and 1 lb. grnd beef, and add in with the spices.
