Receta Maryland Fried Chicken

Ingredientes
- 1 x Egg beaten
- 3 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Finely-crushed saltine crackers
- 1 tsp Dry thyme crushed
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 3 lb Meaty chicken pcs
- 3 Tbsp. Veg. oil
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 x recipe Cream Gravy see * Note Warm mashed potatoes
Direcciones
- In small mixing bowl, combine the egg and 3 Tbsp. lowfat milk. In a shallow mixing bowl, combine the crackers, thyme, paprika and pepper. Set aside.
- Rinse chicken pcs and pat dry with paper towels. Dip chicken pcs, one at a time, in egg mix, then roll in cracker mix.
- In a large skillet heat oil. Add in chicken to skillet, placing meatier pcs toward center. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 10 to 15 min, turning occasionally to brown proportionately. Drain fat. Add in the 1 c. lowfat milk to skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover tightly. Cook for 35 min. Uncover; cook for 10 min more, till chicken is tender and no longer pink. Prepare gravy, if you like. Transfer chicken to a hot serving platter and keep hot while preparing Cream Gravy.
