Ingredientes

  • 1/2 x bushel mesquite beans
  • 2 c. tart plum juice or possibly 1 c. lemon juice
  • 1 box jelling agent
  • 7 1/2 c. sugar

Direcciones

  1. Pick half bushel of mesquite beans without bug holes. Select beans which are succulent, yet mature sufficient to have red tinge on the pods. Wash the beans and snap into small pcs. Add in plum or possibly lemon juices. Cook 1 hour in 3 to 4 qts of water. Drain the juice and save.
  2. Place 5 c. of juice in a pan, bring to a boil and add in jelling agent while stirring vigorously. Bring the mix to a boil which can't be stirred down; then add in sugar and cook 5 more min.
  3. Pour into jelly glasses or possibly jars and allow to cold.
