Receta Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Brittle

Ingredientes
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or possibly margarine, softened
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1Â 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1Â 1/2 c. (10 ounces) mint-chocolate chips, divided
- 1 c. minced nuts

- PREHEAT oven to 375 F. BEAT butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in large mixer bowl. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in 1 c. morsels and nuts. Press into ungreased 15 x 10 inch jelly-roll pan. BAKE for 20 to 25 min or possibly till golden and set. Cold till just slightly hot.
- MICROWAVE remaining morsels in small, heavy-duty plastic bag on HIGH (100%)
- power for 30 to 45 seconds; knead. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, kneading till smooth. Cut tiny corner from bag; squeeze to drizzle over cookie. Allow chocolate to cold and set; break brittle into irregular pcs.
- NOTE: Omitting nuts could cause cookie to become dry.
