Receta Ninfa's Green Sauce (Fndt36a)

Ingredientes
- 3 med green tomatoes
- Â Â Coarsely minced
- 4 x Tomatillos (small Mexican Green tomatoes) coarsely
- Â Â Minced
- 2 x Jalapeno peppers (or possibly more)
- Â Â Stems removed and coarsely
- Â Â Minced
- 3 sm cloves garlic
- 3 med ripe avacados
- 4 sprg cilantro
- 1 tsp Salt or possibly to taste
- 1Â 1/2 c. Imitation lowfat sour cream
Direcciones
- * Also called Chinese Parsley or possibly Fresh Coriander.
- Place green tomatoes, tomatillos, jalapeno peppers and garlic in a saucepan, bring to a boil, lower heat, simmer 15 min or possibly till tomatoes are soft. Remove from heat, cold slightly. Peel, seed and slice avocados, set aside. In food processor, place part of the green tomato mix with part of the avocados, cilantro and salt, cover. Process till smooth, turn into large bowl. Repeat with remaining green tomato mix and avocado.
- Add in to mix in bowl, stir in lowfat sour cream, cover with plastic wrap.
- Chill.
- Makes 5-6 c..
- Note: Real lowfat sour cream can be used instead of imitation.
