Receta Old Fashioned Fried Fruit Pies

Ingredientes
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 x egg
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk or possibly 1 small can evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Direcciones
- Cover dry fruit (apples or possibly peaches) with water, add in sufficient sugar to sweeten and cook till tender.....Mash (Note: Cook dry fruit down till very thick.)
- Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Mix egg and lowfat milk together. Pour over dry ingredients and stir together to make soft dough. Healthy pinch off dough about the size of golf ball and roll in a circle about saucer size. Place a small amount of the fruit mix in the middle on one side, fold the other half over it, and crimp the edges with a fork. Fry in a skillet in a small amount of warm grease till brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
