Receta Oven Fried Apple Pies

- 2 pkt Martha White Pizza Crust Mix (6 1/2 ounce. ea)
- 1/2 c. Water plus 2 tbsp
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine, melted (1/2 stick)
- Dry Apple Filling, below
- Melted butter or possibly margarine

- Preheat oven to 400. Grease a large baking sheet. Combine pizza crust mix, water, and butter in mixing bowl; stir to blend. Turn dough out onto lightl floured board or possibly pastry cloth; knead gently just till smooth. Divide dough in half. Divide each half into 8 pcs. Spoon 1 heaping Tbsp. of filling into center of each circle. Fold top half of circle over bottom half, moistening edges very lightly to seal. Crimp edges with a floured fork. Pierce top of pie with fork several times to vent. Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 17 min or possibly till golden. Brush with melted butter. Cold slightly before serving-filling will be warm. These are best when served hot.
- Dry APPLE FILLING 1 package (6 ounces) dry apples 2 c. water 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter or possibly margarine, melted 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- Combine apples, water, and sugar in large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour or possibly till tender. Mash thoroughly. Stir in butter, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg; cold completely.
