  1. Cream together butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Blend in egg and molasses. Combine flour, salt, soda and spices; blend into creamed mix. Stir in 1/2 c. candy. Spread batter proportionately in greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree F. oven 25-30 min or possibly till done. Cold. Frost with Peppermint Icing. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top.
