Receta Pumpkin Soup With Split Peas

Ingredientes
- 1/4 lb split peas
- 4 c. Nonfat Veg Chicken Broth, Low Sod Or possibly Water
- 1 lb pumpkin peel, chop
- 1 x onion minced
- 1 x Strip bacon or possibly beef
- Â Â salt and pepper
- Â Â mixed fresh or possibly dry herbs
- Â Â fresh thyme
- Â Â fresh parsley minced
Direcciones
- Rinse split peas in cool water then add in to stock in a large, heavy pot.
- Add in pumpkin, onion, beef, salt and pepper, mixed herbs and thyme. Simmer gently, partly covered, till peas and pumpkin are tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve warm, trimmed with parsley.
