Ingredientes

  • 1 c. tepid (90F) water
  • 1/4 c. evaporated (not condensed) lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. margarine softened
  • 1/2 c. rye flour
  • 2 1/2 c. bread flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp anise seed optional
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant or possibly bread machine yeast

Direcciones

  1. Makes 4 mini-loaves, 8 slices per loaf
  2. Grease four mini-loaf pans and set aside. Put all ingredients in the bread pan of the automatic bread machine in the order given. Select the dough cycle. Check the dough after several min of mixing. If the dough looks too sticky, add in more bread flour, 1 Tbsp. at a time. If the dough looks too dry, add in more water, 1 Tbsp. at a time. After about 11/2 hrs, the dough will have doubled in bulk.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and divide into four portions. Form each portion into a small loaf and place in a prepared mini-loaf pan. Cover and let rise in a hot place 40 min, or possibly till doubled in bulk. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake the loaves 40 min or possibly till an instant thermometer inserted in the center of a loaf reads 190 to 200 degrees.
