Receta Shrimp & Oyster Gumbo

Ingredientes
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 sweet red pepper, cut up
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/3 c. all purpose flour
- 6 c. water
- 1 (19 ounce.) can tomatoes
- 2 teaspoon gumbo file
- 1 box frzn okra
- 1 pound uncooked shrimp, peeled & cleaned
- 12 shucked oysters with liquid
- Salt & pepper
- Warm pepper sauce
- Warm cooked rice
Direcciones
- Saute/fry onion and pepper in the butter for 2 to 3 min. Add in flour and brown lightly. Add in water, tomatoes and file. Cover and simmer for 30 min. Add in okra, shrimp and oysters. Simmer for 10 to 15 min. Season with salt and pepper and warm pepper sauce to taste. Serve with rice in a bowl with warm sauce on the side.
