Receta Southern Egg Bread For Dressing

Ingredientes
- 2 c. cornmeal self rising
- 1 c. boiling water * see note
- 2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp shortening
- 2 x Large eggs
- 2Â 1/2 c. buttermilk
Direcciones
- Scald the cornmeal with boiling water. Cold.
- Blend Large eggs, buttermilk, shortening and and baking pwdr. when cornmeal is cold add in lowfat milk mix and throughly blend.
- Pour in a well greased pan and bake 25 min in moderately warm oven.
- NOTES : I NEVER USE THE BOILING WATER, JUST THE BUTTERMILK, JUST KEEP ADDING Till IS IS LIKE YOU WANT.
- If using buttermilk only, add in buttermilk to cornmeal before adding other ingredients.
