Receta Spoon Bread Chicken Pie

Ingredientes
- Chicken filling
- 6 T butter
- 1/4 c. minced celery
- 6 T flour
- 2 1/2 c. chicken broth/stock
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 T dry parsley
- 3 c. cooked chicken
- 3 large eggs
- 1 c. self rising cornmeal mix
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. buttermilk
- Spoon bread
Direcciones
- Heat butter in saucepan, celery in butter. Add in flour and stir well. Add in chicken broth/stock and stir till mix thickens. Add in onion salt, pepper, and parsley; stir in chicken. Pour into 3 qt casserole and bake at 400 degrees for 10 min. While casserole bakes, prepare spoon bread. Beat large eggs, add in cornmeal, boiling water, and buttermilk. Stir well after each ingredient and pour mix on top of hot chicken mix and return to oven at 400 degrees. Continue to bake 30-40 min or possibly till brown.
