  • 1 c. wholemeal self-raising flour
  • 1 c. flour, self-raising
  • 1 c. dates
  • 1/2 c. walnuts
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. golden brown syrup
  • 1/4 c. treacle
  • 1 tsp bicarb of soda

Direcciones

  1. Chop dates and walnuts.
  2. Sift flour into bowl, add in dates and nuts, hot lowfat milk, syrups and soda. Pour into bowl and mix well.
  3. Steam for 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hrs.
  4. Use three large soup tins or possibly loaf cylinders.
