Receta Turkey Bake With Cheese Swirls

Ingredientes
- 1/3 c. green pepper, minced
- 1/3 c. onion, minced
- 3 T shortening
- 1/4 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. cooked turkey or possibly chicken, cut up
- 1 c. frzn green peas & carrots
- 2 c. Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 c. cool water
- 3/4 c. Process American cheese, shredded (about 3 ounce)

- Heat oven to 425 degrees. Cook and stir green pepper and onion in shortening in 2 qt saucepan till tender. Stir in 1/4 cup baking mix. Add in soup, gradually stir in lowfat milk. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in turkey and peas, reduce heat. Mix 2 cups baking mix and the water till soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Gently smooth dough into ball on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Knead 5 times. roll dough into rectangle, 15 x 9 inches; sprinkle with cheese. Roll up tightly, beginning at 15 inch side. Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Cut into twelve 1 1/4 inch slices. Pour turkey mix into ungreased rectangular baking dish, 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inches. Place slices, cut sides down on turkey mix. Bake till golden, 20 to 25 min, 4 to 6 servings.OPTIONAL: Instead of rolling out dough, stir in cheese and then drop by tbsp of dough onto the turkey mix.
