  • 4 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 x 28 ounce cans of tomatoes or possibly
  • 1 x 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 x Pepper to taste
  • 5 x Garlic cloves chopped
  • 5 lb Fresh tomatoes
  • 10 x Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 x Grated cheese to taste

Direcciones

  1. In a deep 10" frying pan, heat the extra virgin olive oil and gently saute/fry the garlic.
  2. Add in tomatoes, tomato paste.
  3. Put on medium heat for 20-30 min, stirring occasionally. Tear basil leaves into small pcs and sprinkle on top after adding to passta. Add in pepper and grated cheese to taste.
  4. Alternative: Add in 1 medium onion, finely minced, and saute/fry the onion with the garlic till limp.
  5. Note: If fresh tomatoes are used, put them in a pot of boilng water for about 10 seconds till the skin can be easily peeled off. Throw away the skin. Cut tomatoes into pcs and add in to frying pan mix. Add in tomato paste.
