Receta Almond Topped Pear Pie

Ingredientes
- 3 Tbsp. cornflour
- 1/4 tsp Ginger, grnd
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/2 c. Dark Corn Syrup
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp lemon zest, grated
- 1 x Unbaked 9-inch Pie Shell
- 4 x Pears
- 1 c. flour, plain
- 1/2 c. sugar, brown
- 1/4 tsp ginger, grnd
- 1/2 c. Butter
- 1/2 c. almonds, flaked
Direcciones
- Peel and thinly slice pears.
- Combine the cornflour, ginger and salt in a large bowl. Add in the corn syrup, melted butter, lemon juice and lemon rind, stirring till smooth. Add in the pears and toss till well coated with the corn syrup mix.
- Arrange the mix into the unbaked pie shell.
- Prepare the Almond Topping and sprinkle over the pears.
- Bake in a preheated 400 degree F. oven for 15 min, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F. and bake an additional 30 min or possibly till the topping and crust are golden. Cold on a wire rack.
- ALMOND TOPPING:Combine the flour, brown sugar, and ginger in a bowl. Cut in the butter, using a pastry blender, till crumbly. Stir in the almonds.
