Receta Apple Pie Slices

Ingredientes
- 2 1/2 c. Flour, all-purpose
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 2 x Egg yolk
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Shortening
- 2 x Egg white
- 9 x Apples, peeled cored and sliced
- 3/4 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. Confectioner's sugar
- 1 pch Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Vanilla extract
- 3 Tbsp. Lowfat milk

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 . Grease and flour a 9X13 inch pan.
- 2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, 2 Tbsp. of sugar and salt. Cut in the shortening till the mix resembles coarse crumbs. Combine the egg yolks and 1/2 c. of lowfat milk, stir into the flour mix.
- 3. On a lightly floured surface, roll half of the dough out to the size of the prepared pan. Cover the inside of the pan with the dough. Spread dough with a light coating of egg white. Fill with sliced apples and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Roll out remaining dough and place on top of apples. Brush with a light coating of egg white.
- 4. Bake for 35 to 40 min in the preheated oven, till crust is golden brown. In a small bowl beat together the confectioner's sugar, salt, vanilla and lowfat milk till smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars, cut into squares.
