  1. In medium skillet, heat 2 Tbsp. of the margarine and walnuts over medium heat untio nuts are lightly toasted, stirring occasionally. With slotted spoon, remove nuts from skillet; place in small dish. Add in honey and nutmeg to nuts; mix to glaze. Set aside. Heat remaining 6 Tbsp. margarine in same skillet over medium heat. Add in celery and onion; cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 min or possibly till almost tender, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, spray 4-6 qt slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place stuffing cubes in sprayed slow cooker. Add in mushrooms and cooked celery and onion with butter; mix lightly. Add in applesauce and water; mix lightly. Cover; cook on LOW setting for 4-5 hrs. Just before serving, sprinkle with glazed walnuts.
  2. Makes 10 (3/4 c.) servings.
