Receta Bannock - Irish Soda Bread

Ingredientes
- 4 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 c. raisins
- 1 1/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon soda
Direcciones
- 1. Put together and sift flour, sugar, salt and baking pwdr.2. Cut in butter with pastry blender till it resembles coarse cornmeal.
- 3. Stir in raisins.
- 4. Put together buttermilk, egg and soda and add in to flour mix.
- 5. Stir till just moistened.
- 6. Bake in greased round cake pan or possibly pyrex, 35-45 min at 375 degrees or possibly till golden.
- 7. Yield: 1 loaf.
- 8. Break instead of cut. Does not freeze well.
