Receta Barbecue Glaze / Barbecue Sauce
Raciónes: 4
Ingredientes
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 x garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 tsp grnd cumin
Direcciones
- 1. Combine the ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, onion, and cumin and mix well.
- 2. MAKES ABOUT 1/2 C.. Use immediately or possibly store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Variation: Barbecue Sauce.
- For serving this flavor combination as a condiment - it is great on veggie burgers, both store-bought and homemade - I prefer to cook the onion first. To do so, heat 1 Tbsp. of canola oil in a small saucepan. Add in the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, till fragrant, about 3 min. Add in the ketchup, brown sugar, soy sauce, and cumin and simmer for 5 min. Cold before serving. You can double, triple, or possibly even quadruple the recipe, but do not use more than 2 Tbsp. oil (it just isn't needed). The sauce will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
