Receta Basic Western North Carolina Barbecue Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1 stk butter
- 1 lrg onion minced
- 6 x garlic cloves chopped
- 1 c. white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 whl cloves
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp chili pwdr
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2/3 c. ketchup
- 1 c. water Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
Direcciones
- Heat butter in a saucepan; add in the minced onion, and chopped garlic, till they just begin to brown. Add in white wine vinegar, cinnamon, whole cloves, dry mustard, chili pwdr, brown sugar and ketchup. Stir, then add in water and blend.
- Bring to a boil, lower heat to simmer, add in salt and pepper to taste, and simmer for about 20 to 30 min.
