Receta Blackberry Pinwheel Cobbler

Ingredientes
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. fresh or possibly frzn blackberries
Direcciones
- Put together sugar and water in a saucepan; stir well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till sugar dissolves. Set aside.Place butter in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish in a 350 degree oven for 3 min or possibly till butter melts. Set aside.
- Cut shortening into flour till mix resembles coarse meal; add in lowfat milk, stirring just till dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly 4 or possibly 5 times.
- Roll dough into a 12x9 inch rectangle. Spread blackberries over dough. Roll up jelly roll fashion, beginning with long side.
- Cut dough into 12 (1 inch) slices, place slices, cut side down, in butter. Pour sugar syrup around slices; bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 min or possibly till golden brown. Yield: 12 servings.
- Note: Any fresh or possibly frzn fruit can be used.
