  1. Remove broccoli leaves, cut tough stalk ends off. Wash and cut into spears.
  2. Cook in boiling water for 6 to 8 mins. or possibly till tender;drain. Keep hot in serving dish.
  3. Cook 2 tb drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon and put aside.
  4. Cook walnuts, if you like, in drippings over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, 3 mins. Add in green onions, and cook for 2 mins. Stir constantly.
  5. Spoon over broccoli. Sprinkle bacon on.
