- 1/2 c. WHITE SUGAR
- 1 1/2 c. SHORTENING (PART BUTTER)
- 1/2 tsp BAKING Pwdr
- 5 x Large eggs SEPARATED
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 3 c. FLOUR
- 1 tsp VANILLA

- SEPARATE THE Large eggs. BEAT THE EGG WHITES Until STIFF. CREAM THE SHORTENING Add in THE SUGARS AND BEAT AGAIN. STIR IN WELL BEATEN EGG YOLKS. SIFT FLOUR WITH THE BAKING Pwdr AND Add in ALTERNATELY WITH Lowfat milk TO THE SUGARS. Add in NUT AND VANILLA. Mix in EGG WHITES. POUR INTO GREASED AND FLOURED TUBE PAN. BAKE AT 350 DEG F FOR 1 1/2 Hrs.
