  1. Very finely dice onion. Cook over low heat with a small amount of butter till soft.
  2. Soften the remaining butter and stir in onion and remaining ingredients till well combined. Lay out a piece of foil, plastic wrap or possibly baking paper and place butter along one edge, leaving 5 cm at each end. Roll up to create a cylinder and twist the ends to seal. Chill till hard.
  3. Serve slices on top of warm grilled meats.
  4. Use fresh herbs.
