Receta Cherry Orange Poppy Seed Muffins

Ingredientes
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. butter - (1/2 stick) melted
- 1 x egg slightly beaten
- 1/2 c. dry tart cherries
- 3 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Direcciones
- Combine flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking pwdr and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add in lowfat milk, melted butter and egg, stirring just till dry ingredients are moistened. Gently stir in cherries and orange peel. Fill paper-lined muffin c. 3/4 full.
- Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven 18 to 22 min, or possibly till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cold in pan 5 min. Remove from pan and serve hot or possibly let cold completely.
- This recipe yields 12 muffins.
