Receta Chicken And Apple Sausage Curry

Ingredientes
- 1 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 x 5-inch chicken-and-apple sausages,, quartered crosswise
- 1 lrg Sweet yellow pepper, seed, cut in 1" piec
- 1 med Onion, minced
- 2 tsp Curry pwdr
- 1 1/2 tsp Fresh thyme, Or possibly 1/2 tsp. dry thyme
- 1 tsp Grnd coriander
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Grnd cloves
- 1/8 tsp Grnd red pepper, optional
- 3 med Sweet potatoes, cut in 1" crosswise pcs, peeled
- 2 1/2 c. Water
- 1/2 lb Green beans, trim, halve
- 1 tsp All-purpose flour
- 4 sprg fresh thyme, optional Naan or possibly pita bread, optional
Direcciones
- In heavy 4-qt Dutch oven or possibly deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add in sausages, sweet pepper, and onion; saute/fry till browned-about 4 min.
- Add in curry pwdr, thyme, coriander, salt, cloves and if you like, red pepper; cook, stirring till spices have warmed-about 1 minute. Add in sweet potatoes and 2 c. water; cover and heat to boiling. Reudce heat to low and cook 8 min.
- Add in green beans; cover and cook vegetables just untio tender-5 to 8 min.
- In small bowl, stir remaining 1/2 c. water into flour till smooth. Stir into sausage mix; heat to boiling, stirring constantly, till thickened.
- To serve, spoon into 4 soup plates. Garnish each with a thyme sprig and accompany with naan, if you like
- NOTES : Coriander, cloves, curry pwdr and thyme contribute a hot fragrance to this Middle Eastern-inspired meal.
