Receta Chicken Wheat Berry Saute

Ingredientes
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 c. green onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 c. diced carrot
- 1 x clove garlic chopped
- 2 c. wheatberries cooked 3/4 c uncooked
- 1/2 c. fresh orange juice
- 11 ounce skinless boneless chicken breast halves cooked
- 1 ounce slivered almonds
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp fresh thyme chopped
- 1/2 tsp freshly grnd black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Direcciones
- 1. In a nonstick skillet, heat oil; add in scallions. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 4 min, till softened. Add in carrot and garlic; cook stirring frequently, 5 min, till carrot is softened.
- 2. Add in wheat berries and juice to vegetable mix; bring liquid to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 min, till liquid is absorbed. Add in chicken, almonds, parsley, thyme, pepper and salt; cook, stirring frequently, 3-5 min, till mix is heated through and flavors are blended.
