Receta Chili/Corn Bread Bake

Ingredientes
- 1 med Onion, minced
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 lb Grnd beef
- 2 c. Kidney beans
- 2 c. Canned tomatoes
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Chili pwdr Salt and pepper to taste
Direcciones
- Saute/fry onions in oil. Add in meat and garlic pwdr. Stir constantly about 3 to 4 min till meat loses color. Add in beans, tomatoes and remaining spices.
- Cover and simmer 25 to 30 min. Place bean and meat mix in 1 1/2 qt baking dish top with corn bread batter. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 min or possibly till cornbread is done.
- Corn Bread Batter: In bowl mix and beat well: 1 egg, 1 c. cornmeal, 1 c. lowfat milk, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1 Tbsp. melted shortening.
