  1. Sprinkle pecans in bottom of buttered 8 inch square baking pan.
  2. Combine butter and brown sugar in 2 qt heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till mix comes to a boil.
  3. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, till mix reaches hard crack stage (295F) on candy thermometer. Immediately pour warm mix over pecans,spreading proportionately. Sprinkle with chocolate pcs. Let stand 5 min. Spread melted chocolate proportionately over all. When chocolate is set, break up into pcs.
  4. Makes about 3/4 of a lb..
