Receta Crunchy Honey Batter Bread

Ingredientes
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 2/3 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon shortening
- 1 1/4 c. hot water
- 1 c. Total or possibly Wheaties cereal
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/3 c. diced dates, raisins or possibly minced nuts (optional)
Direcciones
- Dissolve yeast in hot water in large bowl. Beat in 1 c. flour, cereal, salt, honey and shortening on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl constantly, 2 min. Stir in remaining flour and fruit or possibly nuts. Scrape batter from side of bowl. Cover and let rise in hot place till double, approximately 45 min.
- Grease loaf pan. Stir down batter by beating 25 strokes. Spread in pan. Smooth out top of batter with floured hands. Cover and let rise till double - approximately 45 min. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 40 to 45 min. Remove from pan. Brush top with butter. Cook. Makes 1 loaf.
