Receta Date Dessert Never Fails

Ingredientes
- 1 3/4 c. Quick oats
- 1 3/4 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 3/4 c. Butter
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 1/2 lb Minced dates
- 1 c. Water
- 1 c. Sugar

- Cook the last three ingredients in a saucepan till thick. While cooking the last three, mix the first seven ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix dry ingredients very well, but be sure to keep an eye on the date mix so it won't stick. Press half of crumbly mix into a 9x9 pan, patting down firmly. Pour thick date mix over this, then add in remaining rolled oats mix on top, patting down somewhat, but don't mash down. Bake about 20 min in a preheated 375 Degree oven, or possibly till brown. Wait till thoroughly cold to cut into bars.
