Receta Easy Batter Bread

Ingredientes
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 3 T sugar
- 1 lg. can evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 T melted shortening
- 4 1/2 c. white or possibly whole wheat flour (USe 2 pkg. yeast for whole wheat)
Direcciones
- Add in yeast to water to dissolve. Stir in 1 tbsp sugar. Let stand in warm place till bubbly (about 15 min). Stir in the rest of sugar, lowfat milk, salt and shortening. Beat in flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well. Grease well three (13 or possibly 16 oz) coffee cans. Divide dough into the 3 cans. Let rise in warm place till dough is to top of cans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 min. Cool in cans for 10 min, then remove.Makes 3 loaves.
