  5. Soak prunes in water overnight. Cook with sugar and lemon juice. When cool, remove stones and fill pierogi. Serve with bread crumbs, browned in melted butter or possibly with whipped cream.
  6. Mix the fruit with 2 tbsp bread crumbs. Spoon and fill each circle. Fold, seal the edges and cook. Serve with melted butter and sweetened lowfat sour cream.
