Receta Fruit Filled Buttermilk Scones

Ingredientes
- 3 c. flour
- 2 x heaped tsp baking pwdr
- 1 pch salt
- 60 gm butter
- 1 1/2 c. Tararua buttermilk
- 1 c. dry fruit, (currants and minced apricots work well)
Direcciones
- Place the flour, salt and baking pwdr in the food processor and whirl together.
- Add in the butter (in pcs, not whole) and when the mix is fully integrated and resembles fine breadcrumbs you are ready to add in the buttermilk.
- Shake the buttermilk.
- Place the flour/butter mix into a large bowl and with a knife add in the buttermilk, with the dry fruit. Keep the mix wet. Add in more buttermilk if necessary.
- Place the mix on a floured bench and gently pat out into shape with a quick knead (about 6 times only) and cut into pcs and place on a baking tray, close together.
- Bake at 230 C for 15-18 min. If you use a fan bake oven bake at 220 C and it will take less time.
- Serve with butter and jam.
