Ingredientes
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour or possibly 4 c. cake flour
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 3 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 5 x Large eggs
- 1 can sweetened condensed lowfat milk (14-oz) can use chocolate-flavored sweetened condensed lowfat milk For the Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
- 5 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. baking cocoa
- 3/4 c. butter or possibly margarine softened
- 2/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
Direcciones
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 3 round cake pans, 9x1 1/2 inches.
- Mix flour, sugar, shortening, lowfat milk, baking pwdr, salt, vanilla and Large eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl occasionally. Beat on medium speed for 2 min, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour batter into pans.
- Bake 30-35 min, or possibly till golden and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold 10 min, then remove from pans. Poke a number of holes halfway through each layer, using the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour lowfat milk into holes; cold completely.
- Combine all frosting ingredients and beat till frosting is smooth and spreadable. Frost between layers and on top and sides of cake.
