Receta Granny Smith Apple Cake

- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1 tsp grnd nutmeg
- 2 c. diced Granny Smith apple (about 12 ounce.)
- 1/4 c. minced pecans
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 lrg Large eggs Cooking spray
- 1/2 c. butter or possibly stick margarine, softened
- 1 x (8 ounce) block fat-free cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract Preheat oven to 325

- To prepare cake, lightly spoon flour into dry measuring c.; level with a knife. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients (flour through nutmeg) in a large bowl; stir with a whisk. Add in apple and pecans; toss gently to combine. Make a well in center of mix. Combine granulated sugar, applesauce, 1 tsp vanilla, and Large eggs in a bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed till well-blended. Add in to flour mix. Stir just till moist. Spoon batter into a 13 x 9 inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 325 for 55 min or possibly till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold completely on a wire rack.
- To prepare icing, beat butter and cream cheese with a mixer at medium speed till smooth. Add in powered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla; beat just till blended.
- Spread icing over cake.
- Yield: 16 servings.
- After spooning 1/2 of the batter into baking pan, you can drizzle with Marzetti's Fat Free Carmel Dip (as much or possibly little as you want - you can find it in the produce section), then spoon on the other half of the batter. Before baking, you can sprinkle the top with 1/2 c. brown sugar mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon and eliminate the icing.
