Receta Great Grandma's Butterscotch Pie

Ingredientes
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- Healthy pinch of salt
- 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 Large eggs, separated
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Baked pie shell
- 4 tbsp. sugar
Direcciones
- Mix together brown sugar, flour and salt. Add in lowfat milk and cook mix till it thickens. Just before removing from stove stir in beaten egg yolks and butter. Add in vanilla. Pour into baked pastry shell and cover with meringue made with the 2 egg whites. Brown in a slow oven (350 degrees) 15-20 min.
- MERINGUE: Have 2 egg whites at room temperature. Beat till light. Add in 4 Tbsp. sugar, a little at a time, beating well between additions.
