Receta Herbed Skillet Cornbread

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Cornmeal
- 1/2 c. Allpurpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Buttermilk
- 1/4 c. Bacon drippings, (you can substitute melted butter)
- 2 x Large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp , fresh and finely minced: chives, parsley, sage, thyme
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking pwdr, and salt.
- Add in the buttermilk, bacon drippings or possibly melted butter, and Large eggs and stir till just combined. Add in the herbs and stir till the mix is smooth.
- Grease a heavy 9inch castiron skillet and set in the preheated oven for about 4 min. Remove from oven, pour in the batter, and bake for about 20 to 25 min or possibly till the top is goldenbrown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cold on a wire rack, cut into large pcs, and serve hot or possibly at room temperature.
