  • 1 1/2 c. unsweetened chocolate, in chips or possibly chunks
  • 8 c. bittersweet chocolate, in chips or possibly chunks
  • 3/8 c. unsalted butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 5 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 3/4 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 c. walnuts (optional).

Direcciones

  1. Preheat an oven to 400 degrees. Heat the unsweetened chocolate and 4 c. of the bittersweet chocolate over a double-boiler (a simple double boiler can be set up by putting a metal bowl over a simmering pot), stirring periodically. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixer till light and fluffy and add in the Large eggs one at a time, blending till mixed. Add in the flour, baking pwdr and salt to the butter mix and mix just till combined.
  2. Add in the melted chocolate and mix till combined and stir in the nuts and remaining chocolate pcs. Pour the mix onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or possibly tray. Put the mix into a refrigerator for 5 to10 min till slightly, but not completely, hardened. Reverse the sheet or possibly tray onto another piece of parchment paper on a hard surface. Use a knife to divide the mix into 20 squares. With your hands, roll each of the squares into a ball and proportionately space them on one or possibly two parchment-lined baking sheets (leave room for them to spread). Bake the cookies for 15 to 25 min, till crusty on the outside (they should still be gooey on the inside). Allow to cold for at least 20 min before eating.
  3. Yield: 20 large cookies.
  4. Cookie for true chocolate lovers. The simplicity of this recipe belies the intensity of the chocolate flavor. Be forewarned: they are as strong as they are addictive.
