Receta Lemon Party Meringue Pie

Ingredientes
- 1 pkt (4 serving size)jello lemon flavored pudding and pie filling
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. water
- 3 x egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 x baked 9" pie shell cooled
- 3 x egg whites
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Direcciones
- Combine pie filling mix,2/3 c. sugar and 1/4 c. of water in saucepan.Blend in egg yolks and remaining water.Cook and stir over medium heat,till mix comes to a full bubbling boil. Remove from heat.Blend in lemon juice and butter.Cold 5 min, stirring twice.Pour into pie shell. Beat egg whites till foamy throughout.Gradually beat in 6 Tbsp. sugar and continue beating till mix will form shiny peaks.Spread over pie filling.Bake @ 425 degrees for 5 - 10 min or possibly till meringue is delicately brown.Cold at least 4 hour before cutting.
