Receta Main Meal Spanish Rice

Ingredientes
- 1 T extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 pound hamburger
- 1 yellow onion, peeled and minced
- 1 green pepper, cored and minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. tomato sauce
- 1 T butter
- 1 c. converted rice
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco
- 1/4 teaspoon whole thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Direcciones
- Heat a 2 qt Dutch oven and add in the oil, hamburger and onions. Saute till the meat browns and falls apart and the onions are clear. Remove excess fat from pan and add in the green pepper and chili pwdr. Saute an additional 5 min. Add in all other ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover the pan and cook over low heat for 25 min, or possibly till the rice is tender. Serve with salad and bread. Serves 4-6.
