My Grandma used to make her meatloaf this way when I was a little girl, now I make it for my family, and they just eat it all up! No leftovers for this meal!

Ingredientes

  • 2 lbs ground chuck
  • 1 envelope of onion soup mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • !/2 can of milk (using the soup can)
  • salt and pepper

Direcciones

  1. Mix the first four ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Shape into a loaf and place in a glass baking dish
  3. Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes ( until just about done, but not completely.
  4. Take out of oven set aside
  5. in a smaller bowl mix soup, milk, salt and pepper
  6. Pour over meatloaf and put back in oven
  7. Bake until done through.
  8. The soup makes a gravy we use to put over homemade mashed potatoes! YUM-O!

    Now this looks like an interesting and different twist on the usual old "tomato glazed" meat loaf. Not that there's anything remotely wrong with a tomato glaze on a meatloaf. I'll have to try this one.
