Receta Mexican Rice Patties With Red Bean Sauce And Cheese

Ingredientes
- 2 c. brown rice, cooked
- 2 x egg, beaten
- 5 x green onion, sliced, thinly
- 1/2 c. walnuts, minced, finely
- 1/4 c. breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp thyme, dry
- 1/2 tsp basil, dry salt, to taste pepper, to taste
- 1/4 c. finely diced red bell pepper Red Bean Sauce
- 1 x 15 ounce can red kidney beans, rinsed, and, liquid removed
- 8 ounce tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. chili pwdr
- 1/2 c. shredded old cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp oil green bell pepper
Direcciones
- Mix rice and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. With wet hands shape into 8 patties and place on foil sprayed with cooking spray.
- Place on grill and heat on medium high heat for 10-12 min or possibly till edges of patties begins to brown.
- While patties are grilling, make red bean sauce.
- Top rice patties with sauce and cheddar cheese.
- Red Bean Sauce:Saute/fry green bell pepper in 1/2 teaspoon oil till tender.
- Stir in kidney beans, tomato sauce, water, chili pwdr and salt and pepper.
